We offer private lessons for 1, 2 and 3 people. To book, simply head to our timetable, find a private session that suits your availability and choose and purchase the appropriate class credits. You can buy individual, 5 and 10 session credits for 1 to 1s, 2 to 1's and 3 to 1's.
Once you've purchased your credits, book the private session you want and come along to the studio. We'll send you an email with our door code and other information prior to your session.
If you are booking a 2 to 1 or 3 to 1, please ensure everyone attending has registered on our booking system and provided their contact details and completed the health questionnaire.
You don't need to wear designer active wear to take a class at Prominence Pilates Studios. A T shirt and leggings is absolutely fine. It's important that your clothing lets you move freely but shouldn't be too loose as it may get caught in the equipment. For every class, you need to wear Pilates grip socks.
Yes of course you can. You need to make sure it is securely pinned and/or tucked into your clothing so it doesn't get caught in the moving parts of our Pilates equipment. The same applies to clients with long hair. Putting long hair into a high bun or plaits minimises the risk of getting it tangled (ouch).
It's never too late to start Pilates! As long as you are physically fit and can climb the stairs to the studio you can book onto any mixed ability class. If you have any underlying health conditions or you're worried about joining a class, a 1 to 1 might be more suitable.
Classes and 1 to 1's can be booked online and you simply book and turn up.
The only way to contact the studio is by sending an email to Kate@prominencepilates.com.
We try to answer any questions as soon as possible but you'll have to bear with us if you email outside our opening hours.
For the comfort and convenience of everyone coming to Prominence Pilates Studios, we have 3 rules that everyone needs to stick to. These are:
Wear grip socks - you can buy a pair if you forget them
Phones on silent and in a locker, not in the studios
Turn up on time - your Instructor might not let you in if you've over 5 minutes late
Thankyou in anticipation of your adherence to these x
All our classes are suitable for beginners so it's personal preference as to where you start. A lot of our new clients start with Reformer because it's trendy at the moment but we encourage everyone to mix up their classes and instructors. Most clients find they really enjoy Springboard and Mat classes too as each type of class challenges them in different ways.
If you consider to be reasonably healthy, just book a class. Our booking system will notify your instructor that it's your first class so they'll have a quick chat with you before class to find out how you're feeling and what you want from the class. Once you're in the class, they'll keep checking you're ok and will show you how to do the exercises. Don't worry if it's a bit confusing. It can be at first but you'll soon get to grips with it.
